Allison Cross, who we meet here for the first time, is the best of best friends! She and Ben go back some years. Allison was originally friends with Ben’s older sister, Karen, but an age difference and some snobbery from Karen put an end to that friendship. Lucky for Ben, Allison set her sites on him instead. They’ve been besties ever since! I have a feeling that Ben will need her guidance and support as the story continues. She might just need his occasionally too.
